In this episode, I discuss how I remove excuses from my life by not making them available for selection.


Choice is defined as an act of choosing between two or more possibilities. Whereas options are the provided possibilities amongst which something is chosen from.


I have created the “Not An Option” mindset for myself when it comes to my success.


This means I remove the “provided possibility” from the equation leaving only my desired outcome as the choosable outcome. Humans are hard-wired to follow the path of least resistance.


This means we will always select the “easy” option when that option is available.


Science shows us that our brain tricks us into believing the low-hanging fruit really is the ripest. Human psychology studies have found that the cost to act influences people’s behavior, but it even changes what we think we see. Meaning that because it’s easier to access and pick the lowest fruit on the tree, we create a belief that this low-hanging fruit is also the best.


We do the same thing with our success. We often settle for an easy win instead of pushing through the challenges to achieve what we actually desire out of life.


We are programmed to settle. We are programmed to tolerate.


This is WHY I have removed OPTIONS from my playbook.
