We can all agree that we all have heard or have asked the common question, “how can I speed up my metabolism?”
Well, here’s a little Thrive Tribe secret. PROTEIN. We always say, as soon as your feet hit the ground when you wake up, grab yourself a Protein shake to jumpstart that metabolism everyday.
The misconception that too much protein will make you “bulk up” needs to be thrown out the window along with the idea that you “need” to have carbs to keep your energy levels.
Protein is POWER. Protein fuels your muscles. When you keep your muscles and lean tissues well nourished, it will then result into an increase in your metabolism.
So with that being said, below is one of my personal favorite protein shakes. If you’re anything like me and have a sweet spot for chocolate, you will absolutely LOVE this recipe.
CREAMY CHOCOLATE SHAKE
- 1/2 Cup Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 1/8 Raw Cocoa Powder
- 2 TBSP Raw Almond Butter
- Dash of Sea Salt
- Dash of Fresh Ground Cinnamon
- 2 Cups of Ice
- 1 Scoop of Thrive Elite Protein Powder
- Mix all ingredients into a blender and enjoy!
Super easy. Super quick. Super delicious.
